Start your Icelandic adventure by exploring the famous Golden Circle. Witness the explosive power of the Geysir geothermal area, where the Strokkur geyser erupts with boiling water every few minutes. Marvel at the awe-inspiring beauty of Gullfoss, one of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls, as it cascades into a breathtaking canyon. Immerse yourself in the history of Thingvellir National Park, where the world’s first parliament was established in the 10th century. We did the most amazing snorkeling trip between the tectonic plates at Thingvellir. The water was so clear – but it’s very cold! Be prepared to suit up in layers and a dry suit (all provided).

Discover the Land of Ice

No trip to Iceland is complete without experiencing its legendary glaciers. Journey to Vatnajökull National Park and embark on a glacier hike to witness the magnificent blue ice formations up close. For the more adventurous souls, try your hand at ice climbing, an exhilarating activity that allows you to conquer towering ice walls. Don’t miss the opportunity to explore ice caves during the winter months, a truly magical experience. We did an amazing hike on the glacier – a great experience! You may even be lucky enough to go hiking and see an active volcano!

Bathe in the Blue Lagoon or Sky Lagoon

Indulge in a rejuvenating visit to the world-famous Blue Lagoon. This geothermal spa, surrounded by volcanic landscapes, is renowned for its milky blue waters rich in minerals. Soak in the soothing warmth, slather on some nourishing silica mud, and let the healing powers of nature work their magic.
Blue Lagoon is a great option for arrival or departure day as it’s very close to the airport. You can get a bus to/from the airport with a stop at the Lagoon. They will look after your luggage while you enjoy the lagoon.
Sky Lagoon is a new option located close to the city center of Reykjavik. There’s an easy bus tour which will take you from any of the town center bus stops

Head out to remote locations with low light pollution, such as the Snæfellsnes Peninsula or the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, and keep your eyes skyward for this awe-inspiring spectacle. Be patient, as nature’s light show is unpredictable, but the rewards are well worth the wait.
